Cord visible on bat as it flies from the closet Cord used to pull door from its hinges visible 'Dario Argento' (qv)'s face can be seen reflected on the taxi's glass partition in the opening sequence.

Assumed by many people to have been a mistake coming from a rushed shoot, Argento has gone on record to say it was intentional.

The morning Suzy arrives at the school, Miss Tanner tells Suzy that they were expecting her the night before.

Suzy replies that she had arrived at the school the night before, at 10 o'clock, but the door was locked.

However on her way up the staircase, when Madame Blanc is explaining to the officers about the murdered girl's expulsion, Suzy interrupts to say she saw a girl leaving when she arrived at 11.

When Pat is drying off, we see through the window, some washing hanging on the line.

Then in an outside shot, we see the same washing, but now arranged differently.

We see that when Pat's host leaves the room, there is a pink bag sitting on the side of the table, to the right of the window.

Later, when Pat walks over to the window, the bag is now gone.

When we see the killer's hands, they are shown to have huge, long black fingernails.

In a following scene where the victim is stabbed, the fingernails are now normal.

During the opening cab ride to the school, Suzy asks the cab driver "has it been raining this hard for long?" As the driver turns back towards her just before responds you can see just outside the driver's window (on the left side of the shot) a pillar-like rotating piece of lighting equipment that is clearly the source of the red and yellow strobe lighting during the entire scene.

When Suzy is talking with the old Psychiatrist at the Convention Centre and the camera slowly zooms in on the windows behind them and focuses on their reflections we can also see Dario Argento on the left side of the frame in a white t-shirt observing the scene and looking backing and forth.

(More noticeable in the Blu-ray release.

) When the main character arrives at the academy during the rain storm, the flash-bulb producing the lightening can be seen reflected in the taxi's window.

Milius is full of mistakes and thus virtually unintelligible ("Quandum ubique, quandum semper, quandum ad omnibus creditur est.

The line as intended by the author can, however, be heard in the Italian version"Quoddam semper, quoddam ubique, quoddam ab omnibus creditum est.

Funny how many of us reviewers restrict themselves to digital voting...this movie is neither of it.

One way you can rate a movie is to ask yourself how prepared you are to watch it again. There are a number of ways a movie can have return merit.

A lot of bad reviews on here probably from those expecting a copy of the original. I personally didn't want a copy (what's the point in that?

What an absolute masterpiece.Forget it's a remake, kill that noise coming from all the clueless hip kids and breath this movie in.

"Suspiria" is a film that drinks from different sources but still manages to be very authorial and authentic, leaving its own brand and style within the genre."Suspiria" reminds us a lot of "Rosemary's baby", in several aspects, from the script to elements of scenery, but its transgressive direction shows us a unique authenticity, and makes the viewer separate from this comparison, with a simple but well-written script we have a magnificent first act that falls in the following two, even so, the photograph that combines a play of great lights that create a style of the narrative and so life to the events together with the gore and trash of the time conquered the most grumpy of the viewers .

Films today which fancy atmospheric reds and vibrant neon aesthetics (the works of Refn, the works of Noé, Mandy, that Swedish masterpiece Death Academy...) owe much to Italian auteur Dario Argento.

The atmosphere that Argento set in this film is just absolutely breathtaking. The brilliant use of striking primary colors bathing the scenes and the geometric patterns found all throughout the Tanz Dance Academy paired with Goblin's contribution to the haunting soundtrack render it as one of the most beautifully orchestrated giallo films I've seen, and subsequently, one of my favorite horror films of all time.

There seems to be a never-ending feud between many horror fans regarding 'Suspiria', due to the fact that this film is considered Dario Argento's outstanding masterpiece. Personally, I'm completely against the idea of praising something that you don't actually like, so I respect anyone who thinks that this movie is overrated or even plain awful.

This was the film that got me attracted to the style of Dario Argento. The soundtrack is fitting and delivers the uneasiness and tension properly all throughout the film.
