Two things about this musical, successful as it may have been on Broadway, make it almost unwatchable for me. One is the topic: a vengeful man sets up a barber shop in London and ends up covering his crimes by supplying meat for a pie store (if you get my drift).

Tim Burton perplexes me. I should like him.

I was dragged to this last January, a month after it came out, and literally went there with low expectations. First and foremost because I despise musicals.

99 words or less (well, 141):When you watch experienced musical actors they do not simply sing the songs. They act them.

With Tim Burton, you can expect several things. This movie doesn't stray from the norm involving him.

This film is incredible. The singing is wonderful, and the dark themes are brilliant and realistic.

Sweeney Todd is perhaps the best musical in the last 20 years. The direction of the film by Tim Burton is perfect.

Tale of innocent man turns as demon for seeking revenge with musical approach. And the witch sequences are good An slashy movie with splashy screenplay made it beautiful.

I'm giving this movie a 4 out of 10 due to the cinematography, but that's about all the good I can say.Tim Burton, you have NO business making musicals.
