(at around 1 min) When Curtis is having a seizure on one scene the pillow is next to him with a big blood stain close to the clock.

In the next scene when he sits up, the pillow is behind him towards the middle.

This happens twice during that sequence.

When Curtis has his seizure, the time on the nightstand clock changes from 2:23 to 2:30, and then back to 2:28 (which then changes to 2:29 on camera).

Curtis and Shannon live in LaGrange, Ohio.

However, Curtis's truck has Erie County tags on its license plates.

LaGrange is in Lorain County, one county to the east.

One of those films that you try so hard to stick with due to its slow pace but inevitably end up thinking that was a complete waste of my time and regret the investment.

One of the best end-of-the-world type stories you'll ever see. With the steady stream of apocalyptic nonsense pouring out of Hollywoood these days, this movie was a breath of stormy fresh air.

I haven't heard of this movie until 3 days ago so I decided to check it out and it is really good! Michael Shannon gives his best performance yet and Jessica Chastain is amazing as always.

Curtis (Michael Shannon) has visions of impending doom, or is he mentally disturbed. His bad dreams and hallucinations drive him to steal heavy equipment from his work and build a storm shelter in his backyard.

A movie lover's must-watch simply due its incomparable quality filmmaking. One of the scariest films I've seen, and horror is my genre.

Slow, weak characters and even weaker imagery. Not sure what film everyone else watched.

This is a simply magnificent film. The acting is top notch, the effects practical, and the cinematography is stunning.

It's difficult to understand how this Take Shelter can be such highly rated by both the press and the public, the latter probably a bit too influenced by the former, because the incredible vacuity emerging from this movie is completely distressing.Yet, the theme of mental illness is interesting and has lead to a few very good productions, but here, Jeff Nichols remained unbelievably shallow on the subject and the different reflections one could have expected, such as the relation to affected people, aren't exploited.

I had been wanting to see "Take Shelter" ever since I first saw the trailer for it, months ago. And now I just had the privilege of seeing it at the Zürich Film Festival.
