In the scene when the Jeep blows the tire, the camera angle clearly shows the right front tire as being flat.

The next shot with the sparks, they are coming from behind the camera.

In the shot showing the Jeep spinning around, all four tires are inflated.

During the jeep crash, in one shot the jeep is being pushed to the left and in the next to the right.

Before the title sequence, when the tire of the Jeep explodes it sends the Jeep into a skid.

We see a semi trailer approaching, and the driver of the truck applies the brakes hard enough to cause the trailer to jack-knife (this is shown quite clearly and dramatically).

In immediately subsequent shots, however, the trailer is shown braking straight and true and there is no evidence to suggest that it was sliding sideways, but it is impossible to recover from a skidding jack-knife without stopping completely.

After the truck hits the jeep near the beginning of the movie.

The jeep is pushed out of its way twice in succession.

No separate camera angles are obvious.

When Julie is taking photos before the Jeep crashes, we can easily see that the camera lens is shut.

Julie is pregnant at the beginning of the whole story.

After a whole year she should have had a baby (if she were alive and not dead after the accident).

After Nick's time-travel (when Julie gets to live), there's no mention of the baby.

However, during their argument after Nick got himself fired, Julie mentioned 'I can't forget what we lost in the accident', implying she possibly had a miscarriage due to the crash - hence why there's no baby even after a year.

When Nick is in the hospital after the first crash, he goes into a convulsion and the nurse runs in and hits the button and announces a "code blue".

That should get every available doctor and nurse in the area to run into the room.

Then the mother says he's alright now, yet the nurse never calls to reverse the code blue, and no-one shows up.

I was very disappointed with the Butterfly Effect 2. An American friend of mine had told me that it had come out in the States but went straight to DVD because it performed poorly.

I *did* see the original "The Butterfly Effect" years ago, but so much time has passed since then that I hardly remember much about it, except that I thought it was mediocre. But if you are in the same boat, or simply didn't see the original movie at all, no problem - this sequel, while having the same basic idea as the original, takes place with entirely new characters.

This film didn't have the depth that the first one had. I felt the lead character was shallow and cheesy.

The Butterfly Effect 2 isn't really a sequel: besides using the same basic concept—a young man discovers that he can change the past, albeit with disastrous consequences—it is entirely unconnected with the original movie. This time around, the unfortunate sap who alters history to his detriment is young businessman Nick Larson (Eric Lively): after inadvertently twisting time to prevent the death of his girlfriend Julie (Smallville hottie Erica Durance), Nick tries to use his new found ability to change his life for the better, but only ends up making matters much worse.

This movie is the sequel to another, released two years earlier. I confess I liked the first movie, I think it exceeded the few expectations I had for it.

Fair sequel (more of a remake really) to the 2004 surprise hit. Clearly rushed into production to capitalize on the first film's success, there are probably plenty of moments that you can pick apart if you are so inclined (like when Eric Lively goes back in time for the first time and he knows that a car accident is about to happen but instead of pulling over his car immediately he merely orders Erica Durance to put on her seatbelt!

Before i watched this movie,i never knew it even existed, now i know why. Comparing this movie to the first one is like comparing an expensive sports car to an egg(a rotten one at that).
