When the Sheriff and Deputy are hiding in the Sheriffs office.

The deputy loads his shotgun, the last shell he pushes in falls out again in his lap just before he cocks the weapon.

When they are in the car wash, when Russell is shooting his gun out of the window, you can clearly see and hear his gun drop when David grabs him.

Yet in the next scene, he has his gun in his hand again.

Municipal drinking water isn't used for massive irrigation in a farm community.

The Mayor refused to allow the drinking water to be shut off, in part because he says it would kill the crops.

A town of 1200 people wouldn't have its own medical examiner unless the doctor was also certified.

In this case it was the local mortician.

Fence knocked down the during internment camp breakout is visibly too weakly connected.

The pitchfork used for stabbing bodies in the containment ward go too deep for the length of the tines on the tool.

The top cross-member of the pitchfork would have to have impossibly passed through all the bones, including spine, and the tables themselves to penetrate that far.

No tires are burning in any scene of burning cars.

Completely burning cars would have burning tires as well, as they burn easily and for a long time.

The force used to stab the woman in the neck would have pushed the knife back out through David's hand.

In the shot just before the sheriff's car is hit with a missile, you can see its rear end rise up for no reason.

The patrol car that is shot with a missile has a driver's side headrest, while the vehicle up to that point does not.

David's gauze bandage remains mostly white, despite the massive trauma his hand receives with the knife.

It should be soaked through with blood, especially after using that hand to punch people.

The semi truck is on raised service platform except when David drives away and it is level with the ground.

The light from the nuclear blast would have blinded them upon looking at it.

After the nuclear explosion's shock wave, there would be a reverse-direction windstorm (back towards the blast) as air rushes back in to fill the vacuum left by the rising column of super-heated air rising into the mushroom cloud.

The sheriff shuts off the water to the town including drinking water and the water used for crops, but the water in the car wash still works.

After the nuclear blast, Judy and David walk back up to the road.

The road was clearly destroyed during the blast, but now the road is fine, even the paint stripes.

The old police car does not have partition between the front and rear seats.

When in the morgue, after the sheriff kills the mortician, he begins to back away from the still running saw.

In this scene, the cord of the saw is clearly running towards him and is actually over his leg.

In the following scenes, the cord is no longer connected behind him, but on the complete opposite side of the room.

Incorrectly regarded as a goofThe electromagnetic pulse produced by the nuclear blast would have rendered any electronics unusable.

Therefore, the trucks head-lights would not work after the explosion.

Just before the sheriff's car is shot with a missile, it goes to the sun with both doors open, but when the scene changes to the Deputy Russell the driver's door is closed.

When captured by the crazies in the house, the woman picks up the sheriff's gun and says, "This is the gun that killed your father.

" However, she's holding a revolver.

The sheriff clearly shot her husband with an automatic pistol.
