Scotty is shown being scratched by the demon on the right side of his face, however, later the scratches appear on his left side.

Lights are visible everywhereon the forest floor when Cheryl is being chased, mounted on the corners of the roof above the front porch, etc.

A crewperson is visible outside the window when the white shutters keep on banging.

At the beginning of the film, the sound of tires screeching on the dirt road do not match what is happening onscreen.

The amount of blood on Ash's face changes as he watches the demons disintegrate at the end of the film.

Characters' hairstyles, as well as the amount of blood on them, change drastically from shot to shot - a result of shooting the film sporadically over several years.

Note that seconds after Ash is completely covered in Linda's blood, he is clean again.

Visible tube spraying blood out of Cheryl's face after she is shot by Ash.

When Ash hits Cheryl's hand with the end of his shotgun and closes the door, in the next shot you can see that the blood that spilled on the edge of the door disappears.

When Ash tries to block the door just before the possessed Scotty attacks him, you can see that the holes on the door aren't holes, but instead black paint.

In the end of the film when Ash has destroyed the enemies and leaves the cabin, you can see that the shapes of the holes on the door are completely different than before.

You can also conclude from the shape of the holes that they were just sawed off.

When Ash has destroyed the enemies and comes out of the cabin, you can see first that the door closes slowly after it has been open, but after the camera shows a view of the forest and shows Ash again, you can see that the door has slightly gone open again.

When Scott and Ash go to the cellar and find the random objects, Ash starts to examine the Book of the Dead.

When you look the book pages all the time in the different shots, they change even though Ash doesn't turn the pages.

Throughout the movie, you can see excess light through windows and the mirror, even though it is supposed to be night and pitch-black.

At one point in the movie, Ash's feet are shown walking across a blood-covered floor.

Near the end of the movie, his feet are shown walking down the steps to the cellar, and he is obviously wearing different shoes.

The amount of blood on the wall that comes out of the demon's hand after Ash smashes its hand with the shotgun changes from shot to shot.

When Ash smashes Cheryl's hand with the butt of the shotgun, the finger of the fake hand parts slightly to show a hint of a blue rubber kitchen glove, which was filled with the fake blood.

At the end when Ash has destroyed the possessed enemies, the pendant isn't in his hand.

But when he rises, it is back in his hand.

At the end when Ash has destroyed the enemies and leaves the cabin, the shapes of the holes on the door are completely different than before.

When the possessed Cheryl is lying on the floor next to the pencils, the position of the pencils change between shots.

Producer 'Robert G.

Tapert' (qv) can be seen hiding in the bushes when the car starts to cross the bridge.

Ash's legs have been grabbed at, clawed, and bitten into throughout the film, yet when he stands up at the end of the movie his trousers are intact, even though we've seen them ripped at least twice.

When Scotty first enters the cabin, it is clearly dark out, despite it being daylight outside when he approached the house.

The shotgun wound on Cheryl's face goes from the left side, to the right side, then back to the left between shots.

The wire on the light bulb in the shack changes length between shots.

The design on the box for Linda's pendant changes between shots.

When Scotty is examining the cabin at the beginning of the film, the cameraman is reflected in a window.

At the beginning of the movie the car windows alternate between open and closed throughout the ride to the cabin.

When Scotty kills Shelly with the axe, he cuts off her left hand.

But through the rest of the scene you can see her left hand stretched out to him.

After the killing, the hand is still on Shelly's arm but the arm is cut off.

The giant piece of wood Ash is beating his girlfriend in the head with is obviously foam and actually breaks in half while he's doing it.

You can see that he is desperately trying to hold it together.

In the cellar when the projector comes on, blood is dripping on the center of the lens in large circles.

However, on the screen you see the blood oozing down from the top of the lens rather than dripping on the center.

The large moon that looms over the cabin is an obvious projection.

You can see a square outline around the moon which is lighter that the rest of the background.

When Ash is beating evil Linda with the big piece of wood, it's obvious that at some shots Linda is a stuffed dummy and not 'Betsy Baker (I)' (qv).

While they cross the bridge at the beginning of the movie, a crew member is visible on the right side of the screen, next to the bridge.

When Cheryl is first possessed, Ash, Linda and Shelly are standing looking at her.

In one shot Shelly is behind a chair.

In the next shot the chair is lying on its side on the floor.

When Ash drags the possessed Linda outside, she is barefoot.

A few minutes later, Linda appears back in the cabin and attacks Ash.

Ash falls on the couch, and Linda jumps towards him.

Ash kicks his feet up to push her away.

If you look down at Linda's feet, she is wearing boots.

During the dinner scene when the basement door flies open, you can briefly see the arm of the person who flung it open.

(at around 25 mins) Before Scotty turns the light on in the shed, there is already a bright light coming from the ceiling near the door.

When Ash first walks across the cellar floor, above him water pipes can be seen leaking water at a moderate rate.

As Ash walks through the next door you can clearly see that the floor is dry.

18:20 into the film.

As the fog begins to rise from the ground, you can see the shadow of something being waved back and forth to cause the fog to blow across the shot.

When Scotty is fighting with Shelly in front of the fireplace, Shelly is holding the Kandarian Dagger, however, when the shot cuts to Scotty trying to get his buck knife out of the sheath, you can see the Kandarian Dagger lying on the floor on the bottom right corner of the screen.

When Scott honks the horn the windows are down, but when he yells at the two people waving, the windows are up.

When Cheryl runs back to the cabin after being raped by the tree, even though everyone else is inside and the door is locked, the keys are above the door on the outside.

When the blood filled light bulb explodes in the basement, a wire with an obvious LED on the end of it can be seen.

When Ash burns the Necronomicon at the end, the Cheryl-zombie is standing right over him (the poker she drops falls right next to him), but when she falls, she is quite a few feet away from him.

When Ash goes into the basement for shotgun shells, the shells he grabs are "spent" shells, and therefore, would not work.

Linda's pendant changes from shot to shot as Ash gets ready to use the chainsaw.

When the car is approaching the cabin and the camera truck is filming from the rear angle following the car, you can see a branch get moved out of the way by the camera.

According to the Professor's tape (and other movies in the series), the Necronomicon was written in human blood, but when Ash is flipping through it, the pages are plain black ink.

When Ash and Linda are admiring the necklace, you can see flecks of paint brush off onto Linda's hand.

This is because the original necklace was gold and later spray painted silver.

When Ash stabs Linda with the Kandarian Dagger, she spits up a bunch of blood all over her face.

When Ash chains Linda down to the table to chop her up, her face is clean.

The sunrise at the end of the movie is reused footage of the sunset at the beginning.

When Cheryl walks outside wearing her dressing gown the screen showing the mist covering the moon is visible in the top right due to it being a bluer colour than the background.

When the car is rolling onto the bridge at the beginning of the film, a white car is visible behind the trees on the left, following the car.

When Cheryl runs back onto the porch after being raped by the tree, there are three porch lights on the top of the cabin.

One at each end and one directly above the door.

As the "Evil" is approaching Cheryl, who is trying to unlock the door, the light above the door is missing.

After Cheryl makes it back into the cabin, the "Evil" retreats back into the woods and suddenly the light above the door has mysteriously reappeared.

When Scott is walking into the bathroom to see if anyone is hiding in the bathtub, his hair is fairly long.

He rips the shower curtain open and then spins around as the demon attacks him.

As he's being attacked, it's quite obvious that he's recently had a haircut.

Near the end of the film, Ash heads back down into the cellar.

The shot from the cellar looking up as he opens the door clearly shows brightly lit brown wooden paneling on the wall behind him as he falls down the stairs.

A few minutes later, as Ash is climbing the stairs, the shot through the stairs themselves reveal shelves on the wall above his head as well as a light switch on the wall, not to mention the fact that there is now a ceiling several feet above his head that wasn't there before.

When Ash is walking back out of the cellar with the shotgun in his hand, fairly new looking furnace duct work can be seen behind him hanging from the ceiling.

I love this film. First watched when I was about 10 so along time ago.

If you look at the budget Sam Raimi had to make this, it is incredible what the end result it. Of course having a good friend with the name of Bruce Campbell always helps.

Oh dear!Nobody will like this movie who has any common sense.

This is really a good movie! You just get everything you need in here.

A group of friends spend the night in a cabin in the mountains and it doesn't go well.Starring Bruce Campbell, Ellen Sandweiss, Richard DeManincor, Betsy Baker and Theresa Tilly.

It's difficult to explain why this film is so entertaining more than 30 years after it's original release. I've seen the film before, know what happens next and it's got pretty average acting, but it's still a good film because of the intertwined level of horror and humour.

Greatest movie as per jump scares, the silence it self was literally terrifying.music was Chilling and amazing.

Its always interesting watching future greats in their feature debuts. When talents at the start of their careers are forced to work with minimal resources some of them turn out superb work as a result.

I'll never understand the popularity of this. To me it's just a stupid comedy with stupid characters in tired cliche' splatter.
