When Violet is leaving the church of the final grandparent's funeral in England she has a haircut with a fringe (which she has whilst dating Winton).

When she returns to the USA with Tom the fringe is gone and remains gone for the rest of the movie.

Violet's outfit changes during the viewing of the donut testing participants.

She starts in the same outfit, changes to another, then is suddenly back in the original outfit.

During Tom's conversation with his parents at breakfast, Tom picks up his fork and in the next shot he picks it up again.

His mom's drink also changes positions and levels throughout the meal.

The morning after Tom and Violet's engagement party, Tom's hand is inconsistently holding to Violet's arm in succeeding sequences.

Rom-com C list drivel: predictable plot that takes its sweet time getting to the painfully inevitable conclusion. A few funny moments, but problems of both pacing and tone are fatal, as are the silly Brit stereotypes, the silly Jewish stereotypes, the silly "clueless straight guy" stereotypes.

This movie wasn't horrible but it wasn't anywhere close to good either. Jason Segel is one of my favorite actors, but this movie didn't do him justice.

I wish I had seen this in the movies when it originally came out. This is a very under-rated comedy, and very, very funny.

It's an ideal comedy with an element of drama for Sunday evening with a close friend or a partner. I like a lot of scenes, like, for example, ironic funerals of grandparents and a little girl who wants to be Pocahontas.

In its core, the storyline of this movie is not much different than the one of the same old romantic comedy. Boy meets girl, firsts kisses...

This movie was super long or at least it felt that way. The movie was not funny it had maybe 2 or 3 funny spots.

Do not settle for anyone just because that person has been in your life for a long time. If it does not work, it does not work.

I watched this movie, and at first found it rather dull. Then I realized that I was thinking about it with some pleasure.

The Five-Year Engagement is a much better film than people give it credit for. While it may be overlong especially for a romantic comedy, I feel like this movie goes by fast and was almost disappointed when the film was over.
