Jason, referring to the game _Virtua Fighter 2 (1994) (VG)_ (qv), states that a character uses the "Buddha's Palm" technique.

The only Virtua Fighter character that uses the move is Lei Fei.

Lei Fei did not appear in the series until _Virtua Fighter 4 (2002) (VG)_ (qv), and didn't get the "Buddha's Palm" move until _Virtua Fighter 5 (2007) (VG)_ (qv).

In the fight between The Monk and Jade Warlord, Warlord cuts Monks shoulder with pole-arm and his robe is getting soaked in blood.

Camera changes, and there is no cut or blood.

Later on, it is visible again.

In the fight between Jason and the bully at the end of the film, the bully's black padding is visible under his white sleeveless t-shirt.

When the Jade Warlord slams the Silent Monk onto the Monkey King's altar at the end, it cuts to a different shot and the Silent Monk disappears, reappearing in the next shot.

When Jason is fighting the witch in the Jade castle, he jumps to recover the staff.

You can clearly see that he has his hands on the pole when lands.

In the next shot, the pole is several feet away from him.

The shot after that, it's just within fingers reach.

The silent Monk tells Jason they should attack "In two nights, when the moon will be darker.

" But later that night in the balcony scene with Jason and Golden Sparrow the moon is clearly waxing, and will be almost half full in two nights - brighter not darker.

The folklore associated with the Monkey King only has Five Finger Mountain, not Five Element Mountain.

The mountain depicted in the movie is even shaped like five fingers.

Hence Five Element Mountain is a mistranslation.

As Ni Chang prepares to fire the arrow which hits Lu Yan, she places it on the wrong side of the bow.

An arrow held as she positions it would rotate away from the bow as the bow is drawn.

When Jason picks up the jade hairpin dagger, he places it between his thumb and Golden Sparrow's thumb and they clasp hands together in a 'bro-shake'.

Immediately afterward her thumb disappears from his and and he is holding the jade hairpin dagger in only his hand, with her hand wrapped around his.

When Jason goes to the fallen Golden Sparrow, her jade hairpin dagger is beside her feet on the floor, yet when he bends over to hold her, he reaches for the dagger and it is just inches from her hand, several feet away from where it was before.

Jet and Jackie are the only things in this film which prevented from being utterly dull, and even they were no't at their best. i thought this film took itself too seriously.

First of all, the lead in this story should have been a young Chinese kid. The whole white kid from Boston thing ruined this movie.

The old Monkey King legend meets modern times in this martial arts movie. Don´t look for 13 Oscars here just medidate along to this adventure from a far far away place.

Just like the main character in this film, I am a big fan of martial arts cinema and have grown up with it. One of the genre's first milestones "Five Fingers Of Death" (1972), Bruce Lee's "Fist Of Fury" (1972), The Taiwanese "The Master And The Kid" (1978), the visually stunning "Shaolin Handlock" (1978), the brutal "The Master Strikes" (1980), the humorous "Mad Mission" (1984), the magical "A Chinese Ghost Story" (1987), the epic "Once Upon A Time In China" (1991), Jackie Chan's "Who Am I?

That's all you have to know to want to see this movie. Contrasting and complementary and ...

I know that most times when a film is sold on its 'star power' alone, it can sometimes be a little shallow in terms of what it actually delivers. Anyone who's vaguely into their modern martial arts films will know about heavyweights 'Jackie Chan' and 'Jet Li.

Man, this movie was brutal.the first clue I had as to its brutality was when "Lupo" the Italian catholic stereotype strutted on scene with his over the top accent and street tough douchebaggery.

Sometimes, Jet Li and Jackie Chan are quite funny in this movie. And sometimes they are not funny at all.

As with most critical reviews from those that receive compensation for doing so, as my headline states this is not an academy award caliber film. It is, however, very entertaining and does have a message for one and all.
