The Fourth Kind

In the film, there is a sheriff and deputies that provide police service to Tyler's home.

This is wrong, as Nome has a police department, and there are no sheriffs in the state of Alaska.

The lead-in to the scene where the sheriff is interviewing Dr.

Tyler lists the time as 3:45am, but later in that scene, the clock in the background clearly shows 2:15.

When Abbey Tyer describes being abducted she says that she found finger nail marks on the floor which are clearly shown.

However when she is hypnotized during the re-enactment she flies off the bed without touching the floor.

In the movie the main character lives in a large house surrounded by trees.

There are no trees (or none to speak of) in Nome, Alaska.

At the scene when Dr.

Tyler starts to hypnotize Scott,the clock on the video shows 11:01:25 and we stop seeing it at 11:01:47, then after when the video starts again just before she says "Scott?" the clock on the video shows 11:01:07.

Early in the movie (approximately 9 minutes) Abbey is flying a plane over mountains and approaches a town that is labeled "Nome, Alaska.

" The town is surrounded by vast mountain ranges and lush greenery.

Satellite images of Nome Alaska from Google Maps show no elevation or mountain ranges anywhere near the Nome.

The Google Maps images also show a very large airport and runways to the north west of Nome which should be visible when Abbey is flying over what was labeled Nome.

The airport/runways are not there in the movie.

Please, don't read the plot or anything before watching this. This is one master piece that needs you to be ready for it.

Indeed, there is a gripping story.reality and fiction in a film that is very well combined.

Now it took me a while to write a review on this film, it's now the year 2011, but I must give credit to the writers and producers of this film. Yes I know it's fake.

The fourth kind is easily the 2nd scariest movie of all time the first being 'the exorcist' of course. Some may say the the real footage in the fourth kind is fake,it is NOT,you will find many websites out there stating that the real footage is just actors and actresses starring in re-enactments of real footage,do not believe those websites they are lies.

I can't say I liked "The Fourth Kind" much but its idea did frighten me at first.I'm a sci-fi fan, I've seen a lot of movies about aliens, but no movie could make me believe they exist but this one.

I thought it was unique and scary and I recommend it to friends that want to watch a new alien flick. Movies aren't places to look for factual information.

'The Fourth Kind' is basically 'X-Files' crossed with 'The Blair Witch Project'. An alien abduction mockumentary, following a psychologist who's using hypnotherapy to find out just what is going on in her home town, where people keep disappearing under mysterious circumstances.

The fourth kind being about a possible link between supposed non-fiction disappearances in Nome (Alaska) and alien abductions which was discovered when psychiatrist Abbey Tyler (Milla Jovovich) conducted hypnosis to some of her patients who ALL had the same experience during their sleep. After one of her patients suffered a seizure which broke his back during a hypnosis episode she is forced to stop her investigation or face arrest but her blind daughter gets abducted.

Actually this was a good film. It was rather a simplistic "plot" with no twists and turns but the general premise was OK and believable.
