When the Lee sisters are leaving the house they have garlic around their necks, but when they get outside, the garlic is gone.

The glowing and flashing light emanating from the cracked geode in Glen's room is steady throughout the scene, despite the fact that it releases much more light after it breaks in two.

When Glen breaks the geode open with the hammer, it is clearly shown cracking dead straight down the center.

Yet, moments later he touches it and it falls in half, the half that falls over is much smaller than the half that remains upright.

Had the geode really cracked down the middle, the two halves would have been equal in size.

Just before Glen stabs the eye in his hand, he is wearing a noticeable latex thumb which is much larger than his thumb in the previous shot.

When Glen is descending the crumbling staircase there is a brief shot of his legs searching for a foothold.

The legs are clearly those of a female stunt double.

When Glen sees the first Geode that's split apart, he holds one half in his left hand and the other remains on the ground.

When he stands, he's holding onto both halves (one in each hand).

When the moths shatter Glen's window, he panics and runs out of his room to get Al, leaving his door open.

In the next scene Al approaches Glen's room and the door is completely closed.

The word "business" is misspelled in the note to Terry from his father.

When AL and Glen are in the downstairs closet, AL drops a handful of shotgun shells, and we see them in scattered in front of the inside of the door, along with the demons outside.

When the scene pans up and over them, you cannot see any shells lying on the floor.

After a quick jump-scare(get used to it - someone behind this has a severe crush on them. Meanwhile, they tend to be somewhat earned, and certainly aren't cheap), we join a meeting in progress.

I hadn't watched this film in well over twenty years! Now I've got more hair coming out my nose than on my head, but one thing hasn't changed: This film still take ages to get to the good stuff.

This movie was so much fun! Cheesy dialoge and special effects, likeable characters and a silly plot.

If you are ever in the mood of seeing a funny and thrilling 80's horror movie, please watch The Gate! Don't trust IMDb with the 5 rating it's much better than that!
