When we first see Helen, she is smoking a cigarette in a holder.

When she turns from the camera she raises it to her mouth; in the next shot it's nowhere to be seen.

In the scene when he is informed of the death of the museum guard, we hear Sir Joseph Whemple say hello when he picks up the phone, but we don't see his mouth move.

When Im-Ho-Tep breaks the glass in the display case with his bare hand, there is clearly no glass there, just the sound effect.

Imhotep has been sentenced to "the Nameless Death," yet his name is still inscribed on his coffin.

The ancient Egyptians had chisels and should have been able to destroy the glyphs on the coffin that make up Imhotep's name, but it is untouched when his mummy is found.

In the flashback scenes of Imhotep being mummified, his legs are bandaged together.

They are still bound together in long shots of the mummy in his sarcophagus (which was a dummy).

But when he comes to life, his legs are bandaged separately, allowing him to walk.

It is said a few times in the movie that princess Ankh-es-en-amon was a vestal virgin.

Vestal virgins were in fact part of the Roman religion (they were priestesses of the goddess Vesta, hence their name), and had nothing to do with ancient Egyptian religion.

When Muller shows Frank the Isis charm in the car, the close-up is a reused shot from earlier, which does not match the way Muller hold the charm in the longer shots.

One of the most disaster movie made in recent times. Wasted 200 rupees for this pile of garbage.

The third of Hammer Films 'remakes' of classic Universal Studios monster films directed by Terrance Fisher (following 'The Curse of Frankenstein' (1957) and 'Dracula' (1958)), 'The Mummy' again pairs the studio's iconic pair of horror thesps Peter Cushing (as cursed Egyptologist John Banning) and Cristopher Lee (as the long dead High-priest Kharis, now living Mummy). The film is not a remake of the original, more subtle Karloff film (1932), but takes its story, and its images of a murderous, vengeful, bandage-wrapped Mummy from the 1940's sequels (i.

When Universal Studios decided to start plans for its "Dark Universe", in a series of interconnected films of its most famous monsters, similar to the shared universe Marvel, it seemed to be a really incredible idea and of extreme potential. The first film chosen by the studio to start the saga was "The Mummy", a new version of the classic of the 1930s and which also won a successful version in 1999, directed by Stephen Sommers and starring Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz.

The story, the performance, the atmosphere. all at high level.

Saw this earlier tonight. I enjoyed it.

The Mummy (2017) is Universal's first (and only) movie in the Dark Universe. For those who don't know, the Dark Universe was to be a cinematic universe featuring all the monsters that Universal owns, such as Frankenstein, the Invisible Man, Dr.

Well, times change. At the time The Mummy was a big hit in the theatres, many people going as far as claiming it was more entertaining and even having better special effects than the other big blockbuster that came out at approximately the same time, Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.

The plot of Hammer's The Mummy should be familiar to anyone who has seen a mummy movie or two. It's 1895 and a group of archeologists find and open the tomb of the Princess Ananka.

Movie sucked and Jake Johnson was the worst in the entire movie.
