When the vampire kills one of the people in the house and his wife is outside watching, the husband smears his bloody hands on the window of the house.

The pattern of the bloody smears changes between shots.

Obvious double when Richard's plane is approaching the camera.

When Richard is in the graveyard he cuts his finger with a Swiss Army knife, however blood trickles onto his finger before it has made contact.

When Richard goes "to hell" there is a close-up of a vampire's face and the contact lenses used are extremely visible.

Richard is leaving a small rural airport when he swerves to avoid hitting an oncoming car.

As he does this you hear the squealing tires but he is driving on a dirt road.

As Richard is driving away from the small rural airport where he was chased by the dog, the view out of the car shows very muddy windows yet when we see the outside of the car it is sparkling clean.

There are many shots of Richard Dees flying his Beechcraft Bonanza plane without a headset on.

No-one flies this type of light plane without a radio headset on at all times.

During Richard's first altercation with Morrison, the boom mic is clearly visible for a short while above the latter's head.

When Richard encounters the black dog, the animal is clearly discomforted by the wire apparatus used to retract its lips and reveal its fangs, trying to ease it away with its left paw.

In the scene when Richard is scolding "Jimmy", when he's talking about her working on low-grade assignments.

There certainly are much worse King adaptations. Just do not expect a real "vampire movie", and be aware that at times things move too slowly.

Stephen King has many horror films made from his hit novels, yet only a few were made into true cult classics. Some movies were hits, and even fewer were classified as hidden cult classics like this movie.

The story is good and suspenseful, and actually has some brains behind it as well. Saw this in the late nineties.

A must for every horror fan. A very different vampire movie but a very good one.

Stephen King's "The Night Flier" About a Man Named Richard Deeds Played By Miguel Ferrer a Selfish An Ambitious And a Very Mean Person Who is a Reporter Who is Hunting a Mysterious Creature Who Might Be a Vampire Who By Night Flies His Small Airplane Stopping At Every Secluded Airports And Starts Attacking The Local Residents But What Little Does Richard Deeds Know is That This Mystery Like Vampire Knows That Richard Deeds is On His Trail Who's Been Watching His Every Move That He Makes And Who Tries To Warns Richard That To Stay Away Or Stop Now And Who Doesn't Want Richard Deeds To Publish His Story But To Richard Deeds Himself a Jerk As He is Who Will Not Stop At Nothing Until He Gets What He Wants That Will Unfortunately Leave To His Downfall. Stephen King's The Night Flier is One Hell Of a Good Movie Of 1997 About One Man Who is Obsessed Of Puirsing a Vampire Who Goes By The Name Of The Night Flier With Cool Bloody And Vampire Makeup Effects By KNFB EFX GROUP Inc.

This Stephen King not-so-classic is about grizzly murders and the tabloid reporter pursuing them. Richard Dees (Miguel Ferrer) is a reporter for the Inside View newspaper which translates to The National Inquirer and other baseless rags about alien abductions and Nostradamus predictions.

This movie is overlooked by most. But the story is great.

What is with people and needing to see everything? YouTube and magazines are stuffed with footage of real murder, real torture and what's the attraction?

Miguel Ferrer, Julie Entwisle and Michael H. Moss star in this 1997 horror film based on Stephen King's short story.
