In all of the cafeteria scenes, the food pyramid posters that can be seen on the walls are the updated 2011 versions, not the ones they would have had in 1991 and 1992.

Mr Anderson claims that it was Charles Dickens who left a character literally hanging by his fingers in a serialized story, thus contributing to the term "cliffhanger.

" In fact, the author was Thomas Hardy, in his 1873 serial novel A Pair of Blue Eyes.

While the story takes place in Pittsburgh in the early 1990's, whenever Charlie, Patrick, and Sam go through the tunnel into the city, you can see "Consol Center" on the road sign.

The Consol Center was built in 2008.

Whenever The Beatles' record "Something" is shown in closeup it has a plain red label.

The label should be that of Apple records, their label in 1969, the year the album "Abbey Road" (containing that song) was released.

During Homecoming Sam's dress has clear straps.

These straps, however, are non-existent in the later scenes in this dress, most notably in the tunnel scene.

When Charlie and Sam talk outside following the cafeteria fight, Sam's hair repeatedly switches between in front and behind her right ear.

If the movie does take place during the '91/'92 school year, the song "Low" by Cracker that plays as they enter Charlie's first party wasn't recorded or released until 1993.

If the movie does indeed take place in the 1991-1992 school year as the book would suggest, during Bob's party the song "Here" by Pavement is played, which was not released until April 1992 Early in the film ,when Charlie gets dropped off at his home at night after a ride from Sam & Patrick, Charlie's 2 car driveway is empty.

When Charlie walks into the house, he overhears his sister Candace and Derek having an argument in the living room.

When Derek leaves the home a few minutes later after the fight, he's shown getting into his car and driving away, which was not there a few minutes earlier, although Derek was already in the home.

On the back wall during Charlie's first English class, Emily Dickinson is misspelled as "Emily Dickenson".

When Sam holds up her SAT results, she states she received a 1210.

The paper does say her total score is 1210, yet the Verbal and Math scores are 550 and 460, totaling only 1010.

When Sam is preparing the milk shake for Charlie, the ice cream scoopfuls inside the blender change shapes from shot to shot.

I know this movie was filmed in PA and I live in MD but Sams room looks exactly like mine, the layout and cubby window...

First up, I will say I have not yet read the book - even though somehow I have ended up with two different editions of it on my bookshelves. But I'm pretty sure that even when I eventually do, I won't change my mind about the movie being a great one.

I can relate to many topics in this movie and to how the protagonists feels, and what he goes through. I am in the process of writing my autobiography, and have written and self published two books so far this year (2020).

So as you can tell by the title and the stars I really enjoy this film. It's top 100 for me, I'm going to read the books this is based on and I'm getting a tattoo of it..

I loved so much about this movie its hard to know where to begin. High-school students are frequently portrayed as either nasty (like those who would lock someone in a locker or strip them of their clothes so they have to walk home naked), or they're simply portrayed as so stupid you can't figure out how they ever advanced to high school.

Wow! i don't know what to say.

When I saw that film first time I thought it's a cry-drama for girls but I decided to watch it anyway, and I absolutely sure this is awesome film. Now it's one of my favourite, I really liked it and advise you to watch.

The acting, the story, and the music of this movie tend to have an Unbelievable Chemistry.

This is my all time favorite movie!! The plot is so relatable and I respect that.
