When Faintly McCabre offers Milo and Tock some cookies, Tock eats all of them, yet in the next shot they are back.

King Azaz gives Milo a yellow bag, but when he pulls it out later it's purple.

When King Azaz is first seen (in long shot) his costume has the purple and blue colors of the Mathemagician, instead of the correct colors of orange and red.

(Noticed by someone's seven-year-old daughter.

) After the princesses Rhyme and Reason are rescued, the Kings toast each other, and as the car containing Milo, Tock and the Humbug drive past in front of them from right to left, for just a split-second, the car (and its occupants) disappears, and then reappears.

- PLOTWhen Milo meets the Which, she addresses him by name even though he never told her what it was.

Classic surrealistic Chuck Jones animated feature film (with some live action parts). It's an intelligent, entertaining movie.

Here's how I reimagine the film. 1.

The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster is one of my favorite books. Unfortunately the movie does not do it justice.

I am a fan of animation and of Chuck Jones, and I really like The Phantom Tollbooth. I do prefer Gay Purr-ee and the book is better and even more intriguing, but I thought the film was terrific.

If we are to make the most of every second of life and explore the big beautiful world then skip this waste of time. I saw this movie as a child in 1970 and I remember over half the audience walking out before it was over because it was so boring.

This is why we have cable. Our sons (now 25 and 27) discovered this on a "family" cable channel over 20 years ago, and loved it.

SPOILER ALERT!!! I haven't watched the movie, but if it is anything like the book, then it is really a waste of your time.

The favorite cartoons to this day of a boyhood friend and I are those of the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote.

Don't get me wrong - the Phantom Tollbooth is a great movie... For kids.
