This movie is one of the best martial arts action movies of all time. There are few movies which illustrate the power and grace of hand to hand combat as well as Raid 2.

It's Jakarta, Indonesia, and Lieutenant Wahyu invades drug lord Tama's hideout. The SWAT team becomes trapped in the highrise apartment with no backup.

The Raid, a new non-stop cornucopia action film, comes from the most unlikely of sources – Indonesia. But don't let the country of origin fool you.

Sorry but this movie is stunningly stupid. If I only could vote multiple times to pull the ratings down to at least 3 stars...!

Its does pack alot of action, But many part are cliches and some fighting scenes are clearly scripted anyone can guess. People who like classical movies won't be satisfied with this one, although if you don't have anything to watch you can see.

Trapped in a towering apartment complex run by a drug lord and his minions, an Indonesian SWAT team have fight their way out after their lieutenant reveals that their mission was never actually approved by his superiors in this high octane action thriller. Pierre Gruno is well cast as the world-weary lieutenant in question who gradually comes to doubt his decision to go rogue with his team.

This one of the Indonesian film at its finest. Most actions are part of its grimy yet dark storyline fitted with claustrophobic perspective of main characters encountering many of their enemies within the plot places.

This is the second collaboration of Evans and Uwais after their first action film, Merantau, released in 2009. Both films showcase the traditional Indonesian martial art Pencak Silat, with fight choreography by Uwais and Yayan Ruhian, who also worked on Merantau.

When people refer to martial arts films, they are usually thinking about people like Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Tony Jaa, Jet Li, Donnie Yen... names that are synonymous with the style of fighting you would expect from them, and the region from which they come from.
