This movie is extremely tedious, and as if would to communicate some kind of deeper meaning, but briefly it is that after an apocalypse nobody cares about anything. Which is quite obvious, for the most, however.

If you don't understand that, you probably won't enjoy this great film. Also, it is very slow so the characters become well developed, Guy Pearce is his usual top notch self, and I didn't even know it was Robert Pattinson until I watched the credits.

There is so little here in the way of a compelling plot. The ending made the already ridiculous main characters motive to do what he did almost more ridiculous.

This is my first review on IMDb. I have over a 1000 ratings on Movies alone and never felt compelled to review any of them.

It's bleak, it's dystopian, it's realistic. Another view of what life would be like after the collapse and after the massive die-off that follows.

It is about a man who lost his car, then looks for it while violently murdering a midget & he repeatedly asks everyone where is my car it is very boring we almost shut it off but decided to see it through til the end unfortinately. My mom thinks that I made it sound better then it was by saying that he violently murdered a midget.

Despite some minor plot holes The Rover is an incredible drama that's atmospheric, dark, emotional and intense whilst also creating a believable post apocolypse world without focusing too much on the backstory. Guy Pearce and Robert Pattinson both give perfect performances.

I was emotional...Im halfway through it and listening to Robert Pattinson tell his kidnapper that hes HUNGRY is like some sort of eye opener.

The Rover is basically what you get if a Mad Max story was told in a more realistic manner. The Rover is set ten years after an event known as The Collapse and turned the Australian Outback into a lawless landscape where society barely function.
