The level of beer in Fin's glass on his first trip to the bar.

Olivia's knees when she's lounging on the couch during the "Have you ever been in love?" scene.

Near the beginning of the film, Olivia's shirt has a small hole right in the middle of the front.

The fabric is undamaged in subsequent scenes.

When Fin and Joe spend the night at Olivia's, the towel she brings to Fin and places at the foot of the bed disappears in the next shot.

When Joe is making lunch for Fin and Olivia, the meat has grill marks, even though it's being fried with onions in a pan.

When Fin picks up the groceries for Olivia, he has his bag on his shoulder.

The bag is not there when he delivers the groceries, but it returns after he has left Olivia's house.

Following the scene where Olivia returns home from the hospital, there is a brief shot of Fin and Olivia watching the sunset from her dock.

This shot is in fact taken from an earlier scene where Fin and Olivia had a conversation on the dock as they are wearing the same clothing.

Fin identifies the train route from Los Angeles to San Francisco as the Starlight Express.

In fact, it is the Coast Starlight; "Starlight Express" is the title of an 'Andrew Lloyd Webber' (qv) musical.

When Finn is at the grocery checkout, the cashier's register display says that the lane is closed instead of displaying the price.

Fin pulls out a library card from a book that Olivia had checked out in her name.

In the old library card/check system the card should have been kept at the library to keep track of who had checked it.

It should not have been placed back in the book and then released to check out.

Peter Dinklage, Patricia Clarkson, and Bobby Cannavale at their best. A nice quaint story about a man (Dinklakge) that wants to be left alone yet the people (Clarkson and Cannavale) push him beyond his limits.

I can't really fault this movie. I have come back and back to this movie continually since 2003, and I never tire of watching it.

This was truly an excellent movie. they took what could have been a very clichéd storyline of three people looking for redemption by running away from their problems and finding one another to heal them and made it truly compelling.

I watched with many expectations for its rating 7.6 but nothing interesting.

I love independent films that challenge the audience but never try to be too pretentious about its own meaning. The Station Agent manages to be a deeply moving film about the idea that we all need someone to get through whatever you're going through in life.

The Station Agent's premise was simple, almost formulaic: guy was a silent, no-nonsense protagonist, met bunch of characters who were full of life and going to turn his world around.Yet unlike most Hollywood flicks, this film carried its plot with patience.

I decided watching The Station Agent for Peter Dinklage. I instantly was absorbed into the movie.

Its captured the most true sense of awkward conversations. The effort was both ways, as Peter Dinklage was trying to ignore the world similar way some were figuring out breaking ice adjusting to his quiet little world.

Fin (Peter Dinklage) is a middle-aged train buff and a dwarf who has been ridiculed his whole life and has no friends. He moves into an abandoned train station, ready to spend the rest of his life alone, but slowly forms friendships with a grieving woman (Patricia Clarkson), an outgoing hot dog man (Bobby Cannavale), and a young librarian (Michelle Williams).
