The effects are dazzling but the physics, not so much. From the scene of the father and his friend are trying to navigate around a HUGE space station while in airlock, to the ignition of Jupiter itself, it felt like science had died and these two teenagers and a group of policemen were going to revive it.
I found lots of audiences doubted the acting of two young performers. I had the similar feeling toward Duoduo's acting, especially her speech with crying.
I'm a Chinese so I'm biased. Still a solid popcorn movie worthwhile of your time.

Wandering Earth is a failing movie. To the general praise of this failing film, those who have watched the better writers and big V who have previewed in advance can only make me doubt their character and aesthetics.
The story is pretty simple. I honestly fast forwarded through some of the first few minutes, as it was unnecessary buildup.

As others have pointed out, the premise of this movie is totally absurd. All we have to do is stop the earth from spinning, knock it out of orbit, and find another solar system to live in.
