Near the end of the movie, Scully's white Ford Taurus is parked outside, even though it had been wrecked earlier in the film.

When Scully comes out of the house, a silver Ford Fusion is parked outside.

In the film, they refer to the Richmond "DA" who appears later.

Virginia has no District Attorneys; prosecutors are Commonwealth's Attorneys.

Though the attacks occur in Somerset, West Virginia, in one scene shot from inside the victim's car, you can clearly see a Virginia State Police Inspection sticker.

While driving on a snow-covered road, Mulder collides with a truck equipped with a snow plow.

His car's front headlight is visibly damaged.

In the next scenes, the damage changes from shot to shot.

Scully and Mulder fly in on a helicopter from their house.

The rotor is still turning after they land and exit the helicopter, but Scully's and Mulder's hair remain in place.

In the next shot, they walking away from the helicopter with the rotor still turning.

The rotor wash would blow their hair around.

In parts of the movie, you can clearly see snow capped mountains in the background.

No such mountains exist in West Virginia.

When Mulder's car is attacked by the snow plow, the drivers window is shattered, when the car is pushed over the hill, the window is intact.

When Mulder is following the pick up truck to the hide out he scrolls through his phone contacts and highlights what some viewers have claimed is the name 'Gillian', the first name of the actress who plays the character, Dana Scully.

However, it actually says 'Gilligan'.

The first time Scully and Mulder accompany Father Joe to the scene of the agent's abduction, the sun is rising and the screen reads "Somerset, West Virginia, 5:02 AM".

During mid-winter in that part of the country, it would still be completely dark at that hour.

When Mulder finds the snowplow truck on the side of the road, and looks inside for the tire iron, the snowplow's roof lights are on.

When Mulder walks away from the snowplow in the next shot, the roof lights are off.

After Dacyshyn pushes Fox's car over, the underside shows a dual exhaust.

Later when Scully calls Fox, the car again has a single muffler.

Near the end of the movie, when Scully visits Mulder's house, her Ford Taurus is parked outside.

When Scully and Mulder emerge from house and talk next to the car, it's a Ford Fusion.

When Dacyshyn and the surgeon speak Russian, they switch between the familiar you (ty) and formal you (vy).

Russians would never do that.

In one scene in West Virginia, a sign for "United Petroleum Products Inc.

" appears.

That is a Canadian company which does not operate in the United States.

While Father Joesph is hospital, the heart monitoring equipment on him is place incorrectly.

The black lead should be on his right shoulder not green as seen in the movie.

I always liked the TV series but wasn't a major fan. Missing an episode didn't bother me, and when the series ran its course I didn't particularly mourn its passing so I had no real expectations or hopes invested in this second spin-off film.

Wonderful to watch another X-Files episode this is what I felt like watching this movie. Excellent performances by both Duchovny and Anderson as well as Billy Connolly.

That was by far the worst film I've sat through since "Vantage Point".Yes, I was a fan of the show (until it got ridiculous in those last few years).

I usually don't write reviews if others have already written what I think, but I was so disappointed, I had to write add my 2 cents.XFiles was about the darkness and secrets of government agencies, then in the years between the show and the film..

The title of this film is exactly right. The only thing about this film - you want to believe, believe in this movie.

With the theatrical release of this film I thought, finally we get to see Fox and Scully get together to solve another X-file. But what I saw instead was a paint-by-number serial killer film.

I wish I had the option of Zero - star voting! The plot?

This is an OK movie. That's about all I can say about it.

As a huge fan of the television series, I was disappointed with this latest installment of the X Files. While it had some good moments, mostly it seemed to me that this certainly could have been a TV movie of the week.
