As Condor opens the desk drawer of the dead receptionist to grab the gun, the 45 automatic moves too quickly when barely tapped by his fingers to be an actual gun made of "heavy" wood and metal, revealing it as a balsa wood prop.

When Turner pushes Atwood into his chair, the lid on the console stereo slams shut.

The lid is then open again in two subsequent shots and closed after that.

When the Condor is getting soaked by rain on his way to lunch, everyone immediately around him has umbrellas.

There is a man in the distance to the right of the police officer, obviously oblivious to the rain and walks as if he is beyond the reach of the rain machines.

When Turner is given the report from Langley saying they found nothing to be concerned about in the book he read and reported on.

Turner folds it and puts it in his right rear pocket.

When he tries to remember the section chiefs name the morning after at Kathy's apartment, the morning the mailman comes, he retrieves it out of his left rear jeans pocket.

Early in the film some packages are delivered to the office in which Redford works.

The security guard counts 5 of them, and says "Roger, fiver.

" The NATO phonetic alphabet uses "niner" for 9 in order to differentiate the sound from "fife" for 5.

No retired military man, as the guard is supposed to be, should say "fiver.

" The NYPD Lieutenant who is interviewed in the alley by a TV crew is incorrectly listed in the credits as "Alice Lieutenant".

This is probably a typo of "Police Lieutenant".

In the CIA office scene where various clocks are displaying the time zone, Winnipeg is misspelled as Winipeg.

When the Condor is in Kathy's apartment, they watch a news report about the shooting in the alley.

The reporter has a channel 7 microphone and identifies himself as being with Eyewitness News, the name of WABC-TV's news broadcast for decades.

When the report is over, we see the logo for channel 9 instead of channel 7.

Joubert's phone switches from dial to push button When Turner (Condor) buys a pretzel from the street vendor, between handing him the money and receiving his change, he bites into it, revealing that it is a small, hard pretzel, and not the sort of pretzel sold by a vendor.

The amount of stubble Turner has changes during the "oil fields" discussion near the end.

When Turner draws the Chinese ideogram, the conspicuous wristwatch disappears from his wrist, then reappears after.

This could have been a great film. But because of the not very thrilling or enthralling directing, it kinda falls flat.

This is an excellent suspense drama. I escaped with my popcorn and Pepsi form the theater and upon convexing my TV I overheard Pr.

Let me start off by saying that I have not read the novel. It would appear they cut the amount of occurrences in half, which doesn't mean it isn't still an amazing piece of work.

Robert Redford plays CIA researcher Joseph Turner(codename Condor), who(while literally being out to lunch) comes back to his office to find all his colleagues dead. Deeply alarmed, he follows procedure and leaves, knowing that the assassin will be after him.

I'm sure that Robert Redford thought he had the greatest job in the world in Three Days Of The Condor. He's a reader for the Central Intelligence Agency.

I would under normal circumstances give this movie 8 - 9 out of 10 if it weren't for the horrible out-dated (albeit 'soft-porn-ish') violence against Faye Dunaway's character. It shows how far we've come that we no longer view the kidnapping of a woman in a film by the primary protagonist as a 'sexy' opportunity.

Political thrillers were hot in the '70s, I guess because the nation was recovering from Watergate in '72 and wondering what else the government might be keeping from them. This one is even eerily prescient and not a mere time capsule in that the conspiracy it entails involves a plan - floated as a possibility in 1975 - to invade Arabic states on the pretense of warfare when really seeking oil.

The movie is well executed and has a great cast apart from the dodgy kissing scene which was very funny. The plot has enough to keep you entertained throughout.

I watch movies from different decades to see how place have changed over years. Three Days of the Condor is mystery spy movie based in around New York City.
