A car made of solid gold would have weighed vastly more than 2000 lbs (on the order of several tons) and would have been virtually immovable by hand.

Getting it out the window, lowering it by the cable, getting it into another window on another floor, putting it on top of an elevator car, getting it to the roof, and then managing to get it into the pool would have been impossible, particularly in the time shown.

Miss Iovenko tells the FBI that she's licensed to practice law because she "passed the Bar three days ago.

" Getting a license to practice law in New York is vastly more complicated than that.

In New York, it takes about 7 weeks for the scores to be released.

Once the Board receives the passing scores, it certifies these scores and gives the applicant's case to the New York State Unified Court System.

The Court awards a license as a lawyer and swears the applicant in as a member of the New York Bar.

The applicant must then register as a lawyer in New York through the New York State Unified Court System.

Auto parts made of solid gold as seen in the film would have extremely heavy, yet people are seen lifting them very easily, with little or no effort.

Kovaks' door is first shown as having a diamond shaped window/big peephole when he opens the door to Special Agent Denham, requesting that he apologize to Shaw for the vandalism.

When Kovaks returns after Special Agent Denham hands him a CD with a recording of the vandalism, he is seen shutting the front door behind him.

The door has a small common circle peephole instead of the glass diamond from earlier.

When referencing _The Lion King (1994)_ (qv), Lester says "Mustafa" when the character's name is "Mufasa.

" However, the mispronunciation could have been deliberate as Lester was referencing a drunken moment Josh has had in the past, and directly quoting him during his (Josh's) drunken state.

In the final scene there is no scratch on the hood of the car in the pool but there should be a bullet hole and the scratch Kovacs made to reveal that it was gold.

When Josh and Slide are riding in the Nova, Josh tells Slide that the Chevy Nova didn't sell in Spanish speaking countries because "Nova" means "doesn't go".

Although many know this "story" it is in fact an urban myth.

At the end of the film, Miss Iovenko receives a gold grille from Mr.

Shaw's 1963 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso.

However, this is clearly not the same grille that was shown on the car earlier in the movie.

The grille given to Miss Iovenko is from a much newer Ferrari.

When Slide locks Mr.

Simon in the closet of Mr.

Fitzhugh's (under construction) suite, he turns on a radio very loud.

Later, when the team uses the same room to store the car, no mention is made of Mr.

Simon, and no radio can be heard.

After the team escapes the building, Mr.

Simon is shown still inside the closet.

When Kovaks is asked to steal $50 worth of materials, he steals a $12 candle and two pairs of underwear, but the underwear said 5 for $25.

However, it is very possible (although unlikely) for the underwear to have an individual price of $19 or more, and the 5 for $25 just the sale price, bringing his total to $50.

Some companies will purposely have high individual prices to encourage people to go for the sale.

The courts are closed on Thanksgiving.

FBI agents would know this and would never have been fooled by the supposed change in date.

Fitzhugh's calculation of the gold value in Shaw's Ferrari incorrectly mixes units and conversions.

Fitzhugh says 2000 pounds of gold is 32,000 ounces, and at $1,872/ounce would be worth roughly $45M.

However, 32000 x 1872 = $59.

Furthermore, 16 oz/lb is avoirdupois measure and gold prices are given in troy ounces.

There are roughly 14.

58 troy ounces per avoirdupois pound (yields $54.

The $45M value can be reached if one uses 2000 troy pounds x 12 troy ounces/troy pound x $1872/troy ounce.

However, Fitzhugh would have then stated 24,000 ounces (2000x12) in his calculation.

Agent Denham ('Téa Leoni' (qv)) tells Arthur Shaw ('Alan Alda' (qv)) that not disclosing the safe in his penthouse is a violation of his parole, but he wasn't convicted of anything, let alone on parole - he was under house arrest on a $10 million bail pending trial.

The 1912 chess game Shaw references while talking to Kovacs is a real game, although rather than playing it out as he claims, Levitsky resigned after Marshall moved his Queen, realizing checkmate was inevitable.

Additionally, the term "Marshall Swindle" did not originate solely from that game, but rather from Frank Marshall's well known tactic of giving his opponent a seemingly decisive advantage, only to storm back out of nowhere to "swindle" them out of the victory.

Another well known "Marshall Swindle" occurred in 1904.

To be honest I don't remember a whole lot about this movie, other than it had its moments, and made for a decent time waster. I was attracted by the awesome cast initially, and that soled it for me immediately, despite that most stuff involving plots to do with a heist, generally bore me.

There were no good jokes. Great cast and the plot should serve some laughs, but nothing happened.

There is nothing terribly wrong with this movie. The problem is, I started watching this movie for a second time and realized only partly through it that I had seen it before.

Me & my family bought this movie & have literally watched it like 8x. Perfect cast & the humor is off the charts.

I love the writing and every scene! The music is delightful throughout gives an uplifting vibe.

What happens if you take some older, less charismatic people and tried to plan an overly complicated heist. No one here is particularly good, the plot is dry and boring and predictable throughout.

The movie is very engaging and interesting. Very good movie.

I can't believe it took me so long to see this movie. The last probably dozen or so comedies that I've watched have me chuckle and an occasional laugh out loud.

The first 30 minutes or so may be sufficient in turning off some viewers. I was glad I didn't stop watching there.
