When Alonzo's car is wrecked, it hits two cars - one in the rear and one head on.

When he is seen later driving the same car, it is completely repaired.

Casting director Mary Vernieu's name is misspelled in the end credits, as "Mary Verneiu" (theatrical version only, not home video).

When Jake Hoyt crawls out of the window (during his pursuit of Alonzo), a small stage light is visible on a stand, aimed at the background.

In the final scene when Jake pulls into the driveway, a car is visible through his rear window.

As he gets out, the other car's door opens and someone begins to exit, yet when Jake is outside no more of this person is seen.

This scene was trimmed to remove a confrontation between Jake and the "Three Wise Men" seen earlier in the movie.

However, the scene was not re-shot leaving the "menacing" moment of a mysterious person getting out of a car unexplained.

The pipe that is taken from the kids and that Hoyt smokes out of changes - in some scenes it has a contoured center, and in others it's just a cylinder When Alonzo takes off his glasses in the cafe, they jump from hand to hand.

On the roof top, Alozno throws Jake through a window.

In the reverse shot, the glass has disappeared from the upper unbroken section of the window.

When Alonzo goes back to the window a few moments later he knocks off bits of glass that reappeared.

When Jake jumps on a balcony near the end of the movie, there is already a gun on the balcony, yet Jake only drops the gun a few seconds later.

When Smiley has Jake in the bathtub, the wide shots show Smiley holding the shotgun with both hands.

The cuts from Smiley's point-of-view show him holding the shotgun with only hand.

Showing both hands would have blocked Jake out of the shot.

The level of the drink in Alonzo's hand when they first go to see Roger changes between shots.

When driving the Monte Carlo, the transmission shifter is in "P" (parking) position.

After Alonzo and Hoyt leave the coffee shop and are in Alonzo's car, he you can see them pass a street with two large buildings in the background.

When Alonzo tells Hoyt to roll down his window to listen to the street a couple minutes later, the same street that they passed earlier is in the background.

After Hoyt stops the two crackheads from raping the girl and Alonzo comes on the scene to question the girl, he asks her "Why are you out here? They probably got AIDS, you know? Why are you not in school?".

At this point her sweater is on both shoulders.

Immediately after asking the question, the scene cuts and her sweater is off her left shoulder.

After the shootout sequence with the gang members in the LA neighborhood, Jake and Alonzo drive fast to get away.

They stop sometime soon after on a highway.

When both exit the vehicle, the Monte Carlo is still running, as can be seen from the exhaust pipe which emits smoke.

When they are done arguing, Alonzo and Jake get back into the vehicle.

Alonzo starts the vehicle although in the previous scene, it was left running.

At the end of the movie when they are outside Alonzo's house, Jake jumps on the car and Alonzo proceeds to smash his car into numerous cars on the street, however at the end of the movie when Alonzo's driving, right before he gets shot up, the car hardly has a ding other than the front windshield cracked.

What happened to the damage? After stealing Sandman's money, three bullets are fired through the back window of the Monte Carlo as Jake and Alonzo drive off.

At the angle they were fired at, all three bullets would have exited the car through the windshield or would be driven through the driver and/or passenger seats, yet all three bullets magically disappear without striking anything once they go through the back window.

After Alonzo steals the money from Sandman's wife and during the subsequent shootout between Alonzo and the residents gang members, you see the gang members run after Alonzo's car while firing their handguns.

You'll notice the gangsters, who are wearing their baggy pants in they typical gangster fashion (loose and low, around their buttocks, with their underwear exposed), are running and their pants are not falling down.

In reality, all the boys were wearing belts.

Even without a belt, one learns to adapt to running to or from the wrong situations.

When Alonzo is trying to escape the Russians, he backs his car into the white Suv.

The force of the impact knocks out the headlights on Alonzo's car, but in every shot after, they're still on.

When Alonzo's crew are about to break down Roger's door, Paul (Dr.

Dre) is shown carrying a gun in a holster.

The gun is holstered in a right-hand sided holster, yet he is wearing it on his left side.

The gun is positioned backwards and in this position, he would not be able to draw the gun with his left hand.

Two different designs of police badges are used in the movie.

On close up shots where the badges are clearly visible, a generic imitation of the LAPD badge is used (most notable with the image of Los Angeles City Hall omitted).

On all other shots, where the badge is seen from farther away, a badge design more closer to the real LAPD badge is used.

In the end of the movie Alonzo is stopped in the traffic lights side by side with a gray Mercedes.

After he started the car the Hummer and the black van arrived and as he reverses the car, the Mercedes, witch was side by side with him is now behind in the same traffic lane.

About an hour into the movie, the scene with all the cop big shots, a boom mic is visible overhead.

The money shown when Roger's hidden stash is found under the kitchen is made up entirely of $50 bills, but the picture on the bills is clearly not President Grant, who appears on all $50 bills.

Smiley takes Jakes bullets but he is given the gun back.

When Jake is in the bath tub he is clearly seen wearing a holster with two spare bullet magazines he could have put in the empty gun.

When Alonzo is pointing his dual Smith and Wessons at the crack addicts after the attempted rape, in alternating shots the safety levers are sometimes in the 'safe' position and sometimes in the 'fire' position.

When Alonzo threatens the junkie would-be rapist with the knife, he first has the blade pointing away from his face.

In the next shot, it is facing towards his face.

Training day was one of my most anticipated movies to see this summer. And i finally saw it.

With its authenticity "Training Day" shows us that "the street" can yank anyone to the gangster street life, a life that only the most callous killers and criminals are living. It's simple - carry a gun if you want, but it will not help you.

Denzel Washington shines in this movie about a crooked, burnt-out cop taking on a wide eyed rookie as his partner, proving once again that he is one of the best actors of his generation. His performance is incredible and he commands the screen every time he is in a scene.

There are 2 scenes in this movie that will just always stay with you:1- The bathtub scene 2- Alonso's "Kingkong" speechThe acting is superb. Denzel seems really comfortable in his role as bad cop and Ethan Hawke is the perfect casting for the insecure rookie that gets confronted with challenge and choice between good and bad every 10 minutes or so in the movie.

With his hopes for one day making detective firmly in mind, a young Los Angeles cop by the name of "Jake Hoyt" (Ethan Hawke) is excited about his new transfer to the narcotics division. To assist in his training he is accompanied by the man in charge of the division, "Detective Alonzo Harris" (Denzel Washington) who shows him the ropes for the first 24 hours.

Denzel Washington is sensational in this, the plot might not quite match his performance but 'Training Day' is still a great watch. It's a riveting 122 minutes, I'm just not in love with how the premise is played out.

Ethan hawke is such a badass person. Denzel on the otherside nailed the character.

Training Day is a the perfect example of corruption, violence, and drug dealing issues inside police.Alonso Harris is a character that will be always remembered for it's realism people like him sadly exist.

If only the preceding moments were just as interesting...When Jake is held at gunpoint in a bathtub, that's when Training Day comes alive.
