Length of the ash on the joint that Renton and Dianne share after Renton visits Tommy.

The amount of beer on Begbie's shirt after making the heroin deal.

When Begbie strikes the seated man with the pool cue, he clearly hits the seat.

The back of the chair is covered by the man's jacket and the cue hits the chair underneath the jacket.

When Diane meets Spud lying comatose on the street, a bus passes by in the background.

The bus is orange, which is the colour of Glasgow City buses, but the movie is set in Edinburgh where the buses are maroon and cream.

When Mark leaves the money for Spud, it is in the middle of the locker and parallel to the locker walls, but when Spud retrieves it the money is crooked and off-center.

When Renton is in his bedroom being forced off heroin by his parents and the baby is crawling across the roof towards him after Sickboy has made an appearance, there is a close-up shot of Renton cowering against the pillow.

The shadow of the camera is visible against his face and the pillow.

Although the film is set in Edinburgh, you can clearly see the Campsie Fells that are situated to the north of Glasgow, 50 miles away.

After Renton has sex with the girl, he has nothing on his penis, but once he gets kicked out into the hallway, we see him pull a condom off.

The suppositories disappear and then reappear in Renton's hands when he is swimming.

When Renton is in bed screaming covering his ears, the shadow of the camera is visible.

When Renton lists the chemicals he took apart from heroin, he mentions diamorphine, which is actually heroin.

The Doctor slapping Renton's face has no rings on her hand initially, then she has rings on both hands.

When Renton and Spud are in the restaurant to share a soda with 2 straws, once they finish there's one straw sticking out towards Renton, but as the camera moves between shots of them the straw is either pointed at Spud or is gone altogether.

After Renton's court arraignment when he gets high and is enveloped by the red carpet, he has no belt.

But once Mother Superior drags him to the street he's now wearing a belt.

Wildly inventive, extremely funny (often sickly, disturbingly so), filmed with an insane sense of energy and pace, and an eye for truly inventive surreal images, and a soundtrack full of great songs that all fit perfectly. Not to mention a bevy of superb, brave performances.

This movie tells a story through the perspective of a drug addict and all the crazy experiences he has and goes through. The disturbing and disgusting and yet realistic aspects of what comes with wanting that bit of pleasure is humorous and yet intriguing at times.

OK, I've said that about a few movies, but Trainspotting is definitely one of my fave films of all time. It's got it all, and in the right amounts.

"Choose life. Choose a job.

Plays off like a reimagining of Requiem for a Dream with a dash of Eraserhead's surrealism, a heaping helping of humor, and a pumping pop soundtrack. One of the great black comedies of all time, patently unafraid to actually make you laugh and cringe in equal measure, developing a portrait of addiction through memorable characters, engaging storylines, and striking visuals, all aimed at establishing the bleak depths that its characters inhabit and the inescapable nature of their plight.

In my opinion, a movie is truly great when you keep thinking about it. No matter if your mind keeps coming back to a joke that made you laugh for hours, or a scene so sad that it almost had a physical impact on you.

McGregor's all-time best performance and Boyle's most hyped movie. Trainspotting precisely captures the spirit of the age through tracing the lives of four heroin-addicted Scottish friends, depicting their ups and downs, and their struggle to come clean and start a new life.

Drugs bring pleasure to the adolescent Renton, and even imagine that a beautiful sea is under the dirty toilet, and the death of the baby unveils this seemingly beautiful mask, nightmare of promiscuity, drug abuse, fraud, robbery. The hallucinations and fears in Renton 's detoxification reminded me of the little confusion in Wit Prison Life, no matter how much he loves Zhiyuan, he ca n't escape the end of relapse into prison.

Next to Independence Day, Trainspotting may be the most hyped motion picture of the summer. Miramax Films, the distributor that saturated the market with ads for The Crying Game in 1992- 93 and Pulp Fiction in '94, has struck again.
