As Cristina walks into Juan Antonio's house for the first time, she is wearing a white blouse with long sleeves.

As we first see her, one sleeve (the viewer's left) is three-quarters length and the other is rolled up at the elbow.

After a very slight scene shift, but with no time passing, we see Cristina with both sleeves rolled up.

When Juan Antonio receives a phone call in the middle of the night, he reaches over and turns on a lamp.

The lamp turns on, then the wall lights up a split second later, revealing the wall's glow to be coming from another light source.

Cristina gets sick when they are at Oviedo for the week-end.

The doctor goes to her hotel room and advises her to rest and tells that she became sick because of her ulcer.

In another scene, someone asks for a painkiller and she takes aspirin from her purse, despite the fact that aspirin worsens ulcers.

However, she could merely carry aspirin in the event family/friends need it, which is what happens during the movie.

After Vicky's hand is shot, the three of them agitated about the situation.

During this discussion, no visible signs of the wound can be seen on Vicky's hand.

When Vicky and Juan Antonio have dinner the behind shots and face shots of Juan Antonio do not match.

In face shots he is leaning forward and his head to the side.

On behind shots he sits straight upright.

The people in this movie (including the leading man) speak Spanish instead of Catalan.

In Barcelona both Spanish and Catalan are spoken.

In Oviedo, only Spanish is spoken.

Oviedo is referred to as part of Catalonia with Vicky continuing her research on "Catalan culture" while she is there.

In fact, Oviedo is in Asturias, not Catalonia.

(at around 1 min) After Maria Elena moves in, they are having breakfast outdoors.

Juan Antonio serves coffee for Cristina and takes the sugar bowl which is in front of Maria Elena in the foreground, and puts it in front of Cristina.

The sugar bowl travels back and forth (three times) during the scene.

The 5-6 time-zone differential between Barcelona and New York, does not relate to the relatively large day/night timezone differentials shown in several scenes in the film.

In some instances, the flows of the day, appear reversed from what they they would actually be.

Speaking about Cristina's photography the narrator says that Maria convinces her to use an older camera and she would set up a darkroom for her, etc.

implying it would be a film camera.

It's clear she continues to use a digital camera and she does not look through the viewfinder but the LCD screen of a digital camera and the photo she just took is on the screen.

What a bore. I am just back from the cinema and highly disappointed with this movie.

"Vicky Cristina Barcelona" is an eccentric film about the meaning of love, which builds an entertaining scenery for open-minded movie-goers, but fails to impress as much as Allen's most acclaimed work. Outstanding performances, mostly by Spanish actors Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz make burn the screen.

Great movie. It is a masterpiece about reallity, real love, unreal love, and self-search.

This film has intelligence and is well filmed. BUT - it suffers from too many words and is overly long.

Usually I am not too critical on films - every time I find in movie at least something useful and try not to be regretful even if the film doesn't meet all the expectations. Though that time film really didn't give as much as I hoped.

At one point in this the latest Woody Allen film Vicky Cristina Barcelona one of the characters sees the world that she always wanted right there in her table but at that moment that world was no longer her perfect world, she was certainly concern, her head was thinking in many things but always the fear was present, to stay means to be in the place that she don't want any more and to go means to try to get what she really wants, is with the man that she always loved or with the man that she is in love with. In this film each character had a time that they will never forget and that certainly they will try to forget, first we meet the Americans, two young and beautiful women, friends that are together in a different continent, Spain is the country and Barcelona is the exact place, we meet Vicky (Rebecca Hall) and Cristina (Scarlett Johansson), the narrator tell us how they are different from each other and we soon see that, Juan Antonio (Javier Bardem) is the one who will help in order to show us how both friends are different from each other.

Compared to such somber, even bleak, recent Woody Allen movies as "Match Point" and "Cassandra's Dream," "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" has a good deal of humor. Yet to bill the film as a comedy - while no doubt shrewd marketing - is misleading both as to its quantity of chuckles and even more so in regard to its plot resolution.

Woody Allen must have plenty of experiences in human relationships or he has just imagination! I mean, in his movies you watch different kinds of relationships and that's interesting.

Nothing that Woody Allen does in the rest of his career is going to alter that fact that he will be regarded as one of the greatest American directors of all time - one of a mere handful who have presented a unique world-view in their films.... However, our wonderful, wonderful Woody has seemed to be on a decline for some time...
