When the protective mask is pulled off the health inspector's face it is revealed that he has a full beard.

Men required to wear a protective mask have to be clean shaven for the mask to provide protection.

Near the end when Angela and Pablo are listening to the recorder in the penthouse, Angela is obviously rewinding the tape.

However, the second time when she rewinds the tape, the audio implies that it was fast-forwarded.

In the final scene Angela repeatedly rewinds the tape recorder to sample snippets of dialogue but she should be fast-forwarding it instead since the recording is a diary describing events in chronological order.

Watch the tape reel when she rewinds the tape.

As it plays forward the reel turns more times than it was rewound.

It is impossible for her to hear very much different dialogue without rewinding the tape much more than she does, and then it wouldn't make sense as the dialogue is chronological.

In reality, she would be hearing the same spoken passage repeatedly.

The old man at the start says that their mobile phones, TV etc don't work but when the Pablo and Angela go up to the third floor to get keys the TV is obviously on and working.

I have to admit that despite of all those very good comments I was heavily disappointed by the movie...Although many people claim this being one of the most frightening pictures they've ever seen, in my opinion this is clearly not the case!

I had high hopes for REC. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed.

Just saw the movie here in Germany. First I have to say that the dubbing sucks galore, but the movie is a real shocker!

Its a very interesting and grasping movie. You wouldn't miss a scene.

REC is not a film that attempts depth. Thank goodness.

Rec starts with beautiful reporter Niña Medeiros (Javier Botet) shooting a segment for the late night TV show, While You're Sleeping, at a local fire station. It's a slow night, as Nina attempts to fill her segment with personal interviews and a basketball game.

I walked into this film knowing nothing other than it was a horror, and shot from a cameraman's perspective. Generally, horror films to me are either over the top gore fests or painfully boring attempts at psychological horror.

Don't read the reviews, just see it. You will not be disappointed in any way.

Im a huge horror fan and a sucker for zombies and apocalyptic fiction, and what this movie did to me, no other piece of film, art or literature has ever done before. Not even Lovecraft at his finest.
